2025-2026 School Year

Course registration for the 2025-2026 school year will take place during the month of February. In preparation, we would like to provide you with important details regarding the registration process. The course selection sheet will guide you in selecting both academic and elective courses for the upcoming year. We encourage you to review the course registration sheet with your student prior to their meeting with the School Counselor to ensure all choices are correct and align with their academic goals.

• Step 1:  Review the course registration sheet before meeting with your School Counselor
• Step 2:  Circle or highlight academic core classes (4 selections ...English, Math, Science, Social Science)
• Step 3:  Circle or highlight elective courses (7 selections) number each elective from 1-7 with 1 being your first choice and 7 being your last choice. 
  • Those courses marked with an asterisk (*) are semester-long courses. You will need to choose another additional semester course to cover a full year period. 
  • Teacher/office assistant and OJT (on-the-job training) are for seniors on track for graduation only.
• Step 4:  Counselors will meet with the students during their English classes to review their course selections and collect their completed registration sheets. 

Registration dates are based on your child's graduation cohort and are included for you below. English teachers will be provided an exact date students will meet with the School Counselor. Thank you for being a part of this important process as we prepare for a successful school year ahead! Please keep in mind that while we will try our best to give you what you want, courses are subject to change due to testing requirements, pre-requisites and course availability. Students will be able to view which core academic courses have been selected for them in their Student Access Skyward accounts.

We are excited to welcome the class of 2029 to Seminole High School! Middle school students will be receiving their curriculum guide and planning sheet when their middle school is scheduled for our ninth grade counselors to visit (see below). A copy of each the curriculum guide and registration planning form are below for you to download. We encourage parents to look through this guide with their student to select the electives they are interested in taking
